Making A Difference in Kern County – Restoring and empowering women to a dignified and purposeful life in Christ.

FAQ

What is Keepers Transformation House?

Keepers Transformation House (KTH) is a ministry of Keepers of the Cross Church. We operate a 28-bed, Christ-centered women’s discipleship and recovery center located in the heart of Oildale, CA. Our services include an overnight crisis shelter and a one-year discipleship program, followed by a one-year transitional living program for women in need.

In partnership with Bakersfield Pregnancy Center, our transitional program also supports pregnant women by providing safe housing, compassionate care, and essential resources.

At KTH, we believe in restoring and empowering women to live dignified, purpose-filled lives in Christ transforming brokenness and addiction into a thriving, Christ-centered community.

The most important qualification is a sincere desire to change, with a willing and teachable heart. Each woman must be ready to dedicate one year of her life to discovering her identity in Christ, finding healing, and learning how to thrive.

Women do not need to test clean upon entry we provide access to detox services. Many of our participants have open CPS cases and are single, married, or divorced, ranging in age from 18 to 65. Whatever your background or struggle may be, there is healing here.

If you know a woman in immediate need of safe overnight shelter, please call our crisis shelter reservation line at (661) 421-6671.

For those interested in our one-year discipleship program or pregnancy support program, please call (661) 331-7899 or (661) 302-0293, or visit our website: keeperstransformationhouse.org.

Please note: Our services are for women only. Men and women with children will be referred to our partner programs. We do not accept pets or support animals.

We began offering transitional living in 2018. In 2023, we launched our one-year discipleship program and opened a 6-bed overnight crisis shelter. Both have seen remarkable success since their inception.

Since 2023, 14 women have completed the one-year discipleship program and transformed their lives through the love of Christ. We are on track to celebrate three more graduates in fall 2025.

Yes. Many women we serve face mental health challenges, and several have experienced complete healing. Our admissions team evaluates each applicant to determine whether KTH is the right fit or if referral to a partner program is more appropriate.

We are a Christ-honoring ministry funded entirely by private individuals, businesses, and corporate donors who believe in our mission. We do not rely on government funding. However, we have received select grants from Dignity Health/Common Spirit and the Downtown Rotary Club of Bakersfield.
